The Villa

What is Feels Like Funshine?

Feels Like Funshine is a newly renovated 8-bedroom, roughly 4,000 square foot villa in the Champions Gate resort, overlooking the Champions Gate Country Club golf course. It sleeps up to 19 guests and features a private saltwater pool and spa with complimentary heat year round, a private movie theater, a game room, and full access to the Champions Gate resort clubs. It’s a great fit for multigenerational families and larger groups.

Location & Distances

Where is the villa located?

Feels Like Funshine is in the Champions Gate resort in Champions Gate, Florida, overlooking the Champions Gate Country Club golf course. The exact address is provided at check-in.

How far is the villa from Disney and Universal?

Disney’s Animal Kingdom entrance is 14.4 miles via I-4 West, and Universal Studios is 21.7 miles via I-4 West, both a short drive from the villa.

How far is the villa from the airport?

Feels Like Funshine is 30.5 miles from Orlando International Airport (MCO) and 55.3 miles from Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB).

How far are the beaches?

Both the East Coast beach (Cocoa Beach, near Kennedy Space Center) and the West Coast beach (Clearwater Beach) are about an hour’s drive from the villa.

Is there a shuttle to the parks?

The resort doesn’t offer a shuttle. Most guests get around by rental car or by rideshare like Uber and Lyft, which is easy from the villa’s central location just off I-4.

Pool, Spa & Outdoor

Is the pool a saltwater pool, and is there a spa?

Yes. It’s a saltwater pool with a spa, converted to salt so there’s no chemical smell or sticky residue. The entire pool deck is screened in to keep bugs out, and it overlooks the golf course.

Is pool and spa heat included?

Yes, pool and spa heat are complimentary year round. The pool is set to 88 degrees and the spa to 104 degrees. On cold days it takes a little longer to reach temperature, but it still gets there.

How deep is the pool, and is it safe for kids?

The pool is 5 feet at its deepest and 3 feet at the shallowest, and there is a child safety fence around it.

Which way does the pool face?

The pool is east-facing, with sun from sunrise until around 5 p.m.

What’s in the outdoor area?

A screened-in pool deck overlooking the golf course, with:

    • 6 padded lounge chairs
    • An outdoor dining table that seats 8
    • An outdoor sectional that seats 8
    • Pool toys
    • A poolside basketball hoop
    • A giant Connect Four
    • Cabana pool towels

Is there a grill?

Yes, a complimentary 36-inch Blackstone stainless steel gas grill with propane and grill tools, on the lanai by the pool. An extra propane tank is included.

Bedrooms & Sleeping

How many bedrooms are there, and how many does the villa sleep?

There are 8 bedrooms across two floors, sleeping up to 19 guests: 6 US King (UK Super King) beds, plus 2 twin-over-full bunk rooms and a trundle.

What are the bed configurations?

On the first floor there are 2 King en-suites, and the primary en-suite has its own entrance to the lanai and pool. Upstairs there are 4 King bedrooms and 2 bunk bedrooms. The King beds have 14-inch UK Super King mattresses. The two bunk rooms (Surf and Koi) have twin-over-full bunk beds, and the Surf room adds a twin trundle to sleep up to 4. Every bedroom has a 43-inch Smart TV, a ceiling fan, and a memory foam mattress.

Is there a stair-free bedroom for grandparents?

Yes. Two King en-suites are on the first floor for stair-free access, ideal for anyone with limited mobility. The primary first-floor en-suite also opens directly onto the lanai and pool.

Bathrooms

How many bathrooms are there?

There are 5 bathrooms: 2 en-suites on the ground floor and 3 upstairs (two of the upstairs bathrooms are Jack and Jill). There’s also a tub and shower combo upstairs, right next to the movie theater.

Kitchen & Dining

What’s in the kitchen?

A gourmet chef’s kitchen with quartz counters and a large island. You’ll find:

    • Two 12-cup coffee makers with permanent filters, a Keurig, and an electric tea kettle
    • A rice cooker and steamer, a crock pot, a blender, and an electric mixer
    • A waffle maker, a popcorn maker, and a milkshake mixer
    • A soft serve ice cream machine and a separate ice maker
    • 28 place settings, steak knives, and full cookware sets
    • A Bosch dishwasher
    • A large-capacity front-load washer and dryer with an iron and ironing board

How much seating is there for meals?

The kitchen island and breakfast bar seats 5, the indoor dining table seats 12, and the outdoor dining table seats 8 (with an outdoor sectional that also seats 8).

Are dish and laundry pods and basic supplies provided?

Yes, dishwasher and laundry pods, kitchen soap, and trash bags are provided, along with a starter pack of paper towels, bathroom soap, and toilet paper. The villa is self-catering, so plan to replenish these once the starter packs run out.

Entertainment

What’s the movie theater setup?

A private home theater with a 150-inch screen, a 4K laser projector, Dolby Atmos surround sound, and stadium seating with 10 leather power recliners. It has a Roku, so you can stream Netflix, Apple TV+, Disney+, or Vudu with your own accounts.

What’s in the game room?

The game room is stocked for all ages and interests. Inside you’ll find:

    • A professional 8-foot pool table
    • An 8-foot air hockey table
    • Shuffleboard
    • Skee-ball
    • Foosball
    • A Pac-Man arcade
    • An LED corn-hole set
    • A BattlePutt golf putting game

It’s a finished, dedicated room with enough variety to keep a large group busy for hours, whether it’s a friendly tournament in the evening or somewhere for the kids to burn off energy in the afternoon.

What TVs and gaming are available?

An 85-inch Smart TV in the living room, a 65-inch in the loft, and 43-inch Smart TVs in every bedroom, all with Spectrum HD cable. There’s also an Xbox One connected to the living room TV.

Baby & Kid Gear

Is baby gear provided?

Yes, and lots of it, at no extra charge:

    • 2 cribs with extra-thick 3-inch mattresses
    • 2 high chairs

    • 2 lightweight strollers plus a jogging stroller

Many Champions Gate rentals charge extra for baby gear, here it’s included, so you don’t need to travel with it or rent it.

Is there fast WiFi?

Yes, lightning-fast WiFi through an Eero mesh system, with download speeds up to 700 Mbps.

Check-in & Check-out

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is after 4 p.m. and check-out is before 10 a.m.

How do we get in?

The villa has a keyless entry system, so there are no keys to coordinate.

Parking & Gate Access

How many cars are allowed, and where do we park?

Gate passes are limited to a maximum of 6 cars during your stay. Up to 2 cars fit in the driveway without blocking the sidewalk, and additional cars can park in the spots across the street.

Do rideshares and guests need to be registered at the gate?

Yes. All guests, and any Uber, Lyft, car service, or day visitors, must be registered in the gate system in advance, or they’ll be turned away. Commercial vehicles, campers, buses, slingshots, golf carts, and RVs are not permitted in the community.

Can we get grocery and food deliveries at the villa?

Yes. These services are already pre-registered with the community gate: Instacart, Amazon Fresh, DoorDash, Shipt, Fresh Direct, Pizza Hut, Domino’s, Papa John’s, Diromio’s, Olive Garden, Drizly, and Uber Eats. If you’d like to use a different service, just let us know and we’ll register it at the gate.

Resort Amenities

What resort amenities do guests get access to?

Full access to Champions Gate’s Oasis Clubhouse and Retreat Clubhouse.

The Oasis Club has:

    • A lazy river and a resort-style pool
    • A splash pool and water slides
    • A tiki bar and a swim-up bar
    • Waterfalls
    • A restaurant grille
    • An arcade
    • A fitness center and spa
    • Volleyball
    • Air-conditioned poolside cabanas with full service

The Retreat Club has a brand-new water park with:

    • Waterslides
    • A zero-entry pool
    • A bar
    • Hammocks

How far are the resort clubs, and can we use them before check-in?

The Oasis Club is 2.3 miles from the villa (open daily 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.), and the Retreat Club water park is 0.8 miles away, about a 15-to-20-minute walk (open daily 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.). You’re welcome to use both, and the resort pool, even before you check in. Note that outside food and drink are not permitted in the clubs or on the pool decks, except for clear bottled water.

Is there golf, tennis, and pickleball?

Yes. The resort has 6 tennis courts, 4 pickleball courts, and an 18-hole golf course (additional fee), and the villa overlooks the Champions Gate Country Club course. Guests receive a 15% discount at the Champions Gate golf course; once you’ve booked, we’ll send the details. There are 20-plus more courses nearby in Reunion, Davenport, Kissimmee, and Celebration.

House Rules

Can we have a party or large gathering?

No. Parties and large gatherings are not allowed, a maximum of 19 people are permitted at the villa at any one time, and the community enforces the Osceola County noise ordinance.

Is smoking allowed? What about pets?

Cigarette smoking is permitted outside only, never inside the villa, and hookahs, candles, and open flames are not allowed anywhere on the property. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a limited basis (dogs only) with advance approval and a $120 fee per dog.

Fees & Discounts

What fees should we expect?

The cleaning fee is $380, and prices include all fees, so there are no hidden charges. An approved dog is $120 per pet.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes, a 5% discount on the rental amount for veterans, teachers, and first responders. Just let us know when you book and we’ll add it. This discount can’t be combined with any other discount or offer.
